Ostseefanfaren Sellin (Germany)

Sellin

Ostseefanfaren Sellin were established in 2012. Currently the band plays in the frame of the Recreational Centre for Children and Youth Sellin. There are children and youth playing in the band, which is the first fanfare band of the biggest German island  Rügen. The band adds splendour to a lot of events in the region, accompanies parades and processions, plays open-air concerts and small serenades. Besides intensive rehearsals and performances, important is the joint cooperation within the band.

Fanfarenzug Greiz (Germany)

Greiz

Fanfarenzug Greiz was established in 1964. During the first years of its activity the biggest success was the gain of the bronze medal during the first GDR-Championships. The political Wende and the collapse of the GDR led to a lot of changes. Thanks to a lot of intensively trained young and inspired talents  the ensemble was able to take part in competitions in the mid-90ties. New successes came up. In 2000 there was earned the title of the Thuringian Federal State Champion as well as first positions during the following years. Unforgettable was the organization of the Federal State Championships in 2004 in Greiz.

Orkiestra Dęta OSP „Siedlice” (Gorzów Wlkp., Poland)

OSP Siedlice

The Wind Orchestra of the voluntary fire brigade Siedlice was founded in 1960. It is an important element and representative of the part of town Siedlice as well as part of the cultural life in Gorzów Wlkp. The wind orchestra is an important player at cultural events, state celebrations and church festivals organized in Gorzów Wlkp.

Wind Orchestra Gorzów (Poland)

Gorzowska Ork. DtaThe orchestra came into being in November 1958 on the initiative of the then management of the Chemical Company “Stilon”. Since 1992 the orchestra acts in the City Cultural Centre. During this time Bolesław Malicki conducted the band. Since 2016 Wind Orchestra Gorzów is lead by Anna Wiśniewska. The Town Hall in Gorzów Wlkp. patronizes the orchestra. There are teachers, old boys and students from schools of music, and musicians of the former Garrison Orchestra, in the orchestra. The band gives concerts for the society of Gorzów within the region and abroad. It took part in festivals, tournaments of wind orchestras in Grodzisk Wielkopolski four times gaining the “Złoty Róg” („Golden Horn”) and in the 2nd  Polish Wind Orchestras' Competition „Złota Tuba” (Golden Tuba) in 2017 in Złotowo, where it gained the 1st award. At the 4th International Meeting of Wind Orchestras Alte Kameraden in 2010 the orchestra became the winner of the Grand-Prix.

Orkiestra Dęta OSP Miedźno (Poland)

Miedno

The history of the  Orkiestra Dęta OSP Miedźno reaches to the year 1920. The ensemble is an important part of the community's cultural life. It plays on religious and patriotic festivities but also on other events. The ensemble is a recognizable brand in the region. Its repertoire contains religious  music pieces as well as popular music and regiment's calls of the troups of the cavalry's brigades, which on 1st September 1939 took part in the battle of  Mokra Wołynska.

Fanfarenzug Neustrelitz (Germany)

Fanfarenzug Neustrelitz WMC 2017

Fanfarenzug Neustrelitz came into being in 1996 and was built combining other fanfare bands. The tradition of music played on fanfares in this region reaches to the times of the Grand Dukes of  Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Right now there are three generations of musicians playing in this band and learning from eachother. Since 2013 the Fanfarenzug Neustrelitz is champion of the federal state Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. During the last years, the band held the first places in the competitions of march and show during the Fanfaronade gaining the corresponding medals – at first in the 2nd division, than in the 1st division. Qualifications to the World Championships were gained in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Orkiestra Reprezentacyjna Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej (Kraków, Poland)

Krakow

Orkiestra Reprezentacyjna Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej is a group of young people – students of the Academy  of Mining and Iron and Steel Industry and students of other colleges in Kraków – whose common passion is the love to music. The orchestra came into being in 2001, as the first wind orchestra functioning in the frame of a technical college in Poland.  Since then it plays in music clubs in Kraków, but also at international festivals and takes part in competitions. Furthermore it adds splendour to the events of the Academy of Mining and Iron and Steel Industry in Kraków.

Młodzieżowa Orkiestra Dęta Miejskiego Domu Kultury w Czechowicach-Dziedzicach (Poland)

Czechowice

Młodzieżowa Orkiestra Dęta Miejskiego Domu Kultury w Czechowicach-Dziedzicach was founded in 2005 in the frame of the City Culture House. It keeps alive the tradition of the former Wind Orchestra of the Voluntary Fire Brigade in Ligota. Besides a lot of awards, since 2001 the orchestra sucessfully takes part in the Wind Orchestras' Festival „Złota Trąbka” (Golden Trumpet) gaining  bronze,  silver and golden diplomas in the categories show, concert and Grand Prix.

Spielmannszug „Deutsche Eiche” Hirschfeld (Germany)

Hirschfeld

Spielmannszug „Deutsche Eiche” Hirschfeld was founded in 1906 and therefore has a rich tradition. Currently there are 70 people playing in the band, as well as 30 people in the junior band. Every year in June the association of musicians organizes the International Festival of Federal State's Music which attracts always a big audience and is well known not only in the region, but also in other Federal States.
