The wind orchestra "Fanfares of Lviv" of the Lviv music school № 5 was created in 1982. Since than it enjoyed great popularity among the town's residents and the region. The Orchestra is multiple winner of regional competitions as well as international festivals in different Polish towns. Each performance gaines lots of success in the concert halls of the city and the region.

The orchestra's repertoire contains Ukrainian folk songs, carols, religious songs, as well as the best examples of world, jazz and popular music. Conductor and artistic director of the orchestra, as well as music school's headmaster is Andriyan Leskiv, author of many translations and arrangements for the orchestra (graduate of the Lviv Music Academy, participant of many international brass bands' festivals in Italy, Poland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Ukraine and Russia).
