Alte Kameraden 2018 supported by the Ministry of Culture

We are happy to anounce that the this year´s event “International Festival of Wind and Marching Bands ALTE KAMERADEN 2018“ organised by the City Cultural Centre got finances of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage - program Music.

It´s already more than a month since our festival Alte Kameraden 2018, but still we kindly remember the whole event. After all we organised a festival which was a qualification round for the Worldchampionships 2019 in Calgary.

Our institution received a letter of thanks from the World Association Of Marching Show Bands (WAMSB) which is directed to all organizers, sponsors and everybody who was involved in the organisation and who made it an incredible event. It´s not ruled out that WAMSB-events will take place in Poland! The results of the qualifications can be found at WAMSB homepage.

ALTE KAMERADEN for the eleventh time

ALTE KAMERADEN po raz 11-ty Already for the eleventh time, we will have the possibility to listen and to see wonderful orchestras. This time we´ll host bands from Hungary, Lithuania, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Germany and of course from Poland.

The festival will start on May the 20th at 3.30 p.m., word for word and metaphorical with a parade from the crossroad Chrobrego/30 Stycznia to the Plac Grunwaldzki. Where will take place the official opening of the International Wind Orchestras´ Meeting ALTE KAMERADEN. At 6.00 p.m. a deligation of the orchestras will place flowers at the commemorative plaque of the composer Carl Teike – the namesake of our festival. A day later, on the 21st of May, at 2.00 p.m. there will start the concerts in the Park Wiosny Ludów (Roses´ Garden), and will finish about 7.00 p.m.

Alte Kameraden and the patronage of the European Year of the Cultural Heritage

At first the World Association of Marching Show Band granted us with its certificate. Now we are proud to anounce next good news. Alte Kameraden 2018 is now under the patronage of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.

We are very thankfull for this support. The 12^th edition of our festival Alte Kameraden will take place on the 19^th and 20^th May. The whole programm can be found on our website.

It was wonderful and it will be even better!

alte_kameraden_2015_17_20150528_1806960007 Since several months we are through with the 2015's edition of our festival. Still we do have in mind the beautiful melodies interpreted by our orchestras. However we do not swallow in memories. Already right now we plan and organize the next - jubilee - edition. In 2016 the festival will take part at the 21st and 22nd of May, and we will celebtrate it for the 10th time! It is important for us to create a friendly mood in which the musicians can exchange experiences and show some subtle difference in making music. For this reason there will be no contests among the orchestras.

Some small impressions from the Ostseefanfaren Sellin

Already on the 19th and 20th May will take part the International Festival of Wind and Marching Bands "Alte Kameraden" 2018. The preparations are already at the fullest. Also the orchestras and music bands work hard and train. One of them is the Ostseefanfaren Sellin from Germany. On the attached films this music band shows how it trains to be fully prepared for its performance in Gorzów. They also send nice greetings to everybody.

First secrets

We introduce the first orchestra which will take part in our event. Like each year there will be an orchestra from Czech Republic. Alte Kameraden 2018 certificated!

Richt now we are able totell about it officially: The World Association of Marching Show Bands granted our festival Alte Kameraden 2018 with its certificate. We proudly announce that we met all terms and conditions. Our festival's wrestles take place in international standards and during our competitions will be used wordlwide recognized criteria for evaluation.

we are in contact with several interesting orchestras and work on details concerning our co-operation. Right now we know that our festival wil change. But pssst .... we can not tell more. The secrets will be disclosed at a later moment.

What we can tell is, the date of the 9th edtion of the Meeting. Colorful and orchestral extravagant it will be at the 9th and 10th of May 2015. It's worth to remind that date!

Alte Kameraden 2018 - registration open

Already several months went by since Alte Kameraden 2017. After 11 years in which the festival took place in almost the same way, there is now time for some changes.

We are proud to announce, that we will cooperate with the International association, having his headquarters in Canada, which organizes the annually World Championships for Marching and Show Bands - World Association of Marching Show Bands. Through this cooperation Alte Kameraden 2018 will become a very important place on the international festival´s map. Orchestras taking part in our festival and in the competitions of this festival are given the chance to qualify for the World Championships in Calgary/Canada 2019 and the World Championships 2020. Our festival will be the only place in Eastern Europe where this will be possible. We are proud to be pioneers. Be a part of this – at the 19^th and 20^th May 2018 in Gorzów Wielkopolski/Poland!
