The Scouts´ Wind Orchestra was founded in 1946 in Przemyśl. During its different times of activity, it took part in festivals and shows of Scout´s Wind Orchestras (Przemyśl, Tczew, Poznań) and enriched the cultural life of its Region and the whole country until 1985. In 1998 the scout leader Jan Semków and Jan Łaskarzewski founded the Scouts´ Brass Orchestra of Przemysl District Scout Troop in Żurawica. It was built up from the ground, but should continue the tradition of the orchestra founded in 1946.
In 2005 the ensemble gained the honourable title Representative Orchestra of the Subcarpathian Flag of the Polish Scouting Association. The orchestra is invited to take part in festivals and festivities in Poland e.g. Warsaw, Kraków, Kielce, Częstochowa, Rzeszów, Zakopane, Skierniewice and Szklarska Poręba, as well as abroad (Ukraine, Hungary, Italy, Vatican City). It likes to be a participant of different artistic projects. In this context it cooperates with the City´s Wind Orchestra „Surmy Haliczyny“ from Lwów. In 2009 the ensemble was honoured with the medal „PRO MEMORIA”. Since 2015 the orchestra´s leaders are Tomasz Łaskarzewski and Jacek Łaskarzewski. The ensemble is a very important part of the social and the cultural life of the municipality Żurawica and the Region Przemyśl.
