Youth brass orchestra, founded in 1971, follows on activities of school wind orchestra which started in Jistebník in 1947. Since 1989 it has performed as the Amatérské sdružení hudebníků – dechový orchestr mladých Jistebník. The orchestra reached an outstanding success in 2001 in Lilienthal, Germany - the highest award in free category. The evidence of its stable quality is winning of golden band at International Music Festival Praha 2007 and at International Music Festival Swidnik 2009.

The band is organiser of the International Festival Jistebník – Studénka. Art director and conductor is Mr. Petr Habernal, conductors are Martin Maléř, Jan Lubojacký and Michal Holub.
