The orchestra is built by 35-55 musicians. The repertoire contains a very wide range of music types: classical and symphony music, wind music, swing, pop, rock music, marches and sacral music. The orchestra is able to play about 700 different music pieces. The repertoire is always adapted to the kind of the event.
It came into being in 1958 on the initiative of the then management of the Chemical Company “Stilon”. Since 1992 the orchestra has been acting in the City Cultural Centre. The Town Hall in Gorzów Wlkp. patronizes the orchestra. For the last 16 years, Bolesław Malicki has been managing the group.
The wind orchestra "Fanfares of Lviv" of the Lviv music school № 5 was created in 1982. Since than it enjoyed great popularity among the town's residents and the region. The Orchestra is multiple winner of regional competitions as well as international festivals in different Polish towns. Each performance gaines lots of success in the concert halls of the city and the region.
