Orkiestra Dęta „Zastal”, Zielona Góra
In 1947 the orchestra came into being. Currently it contained of 30 musicians.
Its main successes are:
1979 participation in the 2nd Polish Review of Wind Orchestras - Wrocław -1st prize, Opole- 4th prize. (At that time in Poland there were about 1170 orchestras)
2008 participation in the Lubusz Festival of Wind Orchestras - 2nd prize
The orchestra gave concerts in the whole countru as well as abroad, for example in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Italy. As a volunteer it worked about 13 000 hours, played about 6000 concerts and gave its splendor to 4500 events.
In 1954 there was tied a miner's wind orchestra. The association and the band's leadership was given to Jan Józefiak. Performances and concerts of the Orkiestra Dęta Kopalni "Konin" are enjoyed and gain high recognition of the audience as well as the local authorities. The band is famous in different regions of Poland, Germany, Russia, Slovakia, Austria and Italy - where the orchestra performed for the pope John Paul II.
The Youth Wind Orchestra Kleinmachnow (JBO Kleinmachnow) came into being in 1990, as an association. There were 25 persons. Already 4 years before, that means in 1986 the artists started playing music together. In 1995 the association was terminated. The Orchestra became a part of the District's Music School "Engelbert Humperdinck" in the district Potsdam-Mittelmark. In 1999 Martin Aust - teacher of saxophon and clarinet - became the Orchestra's director. At this time there were 55 active musicians in the age of 11 to 24.
The orchestra came into being in 1960. Thanks to the great commitment of the musicians the band gains regards and recognition of the audience. In 2003 the orchestra took part in the 1st International Festival of Music in Frankfurt (Germany), in 2005 the orchestra takes part in the 5th Polish Pilgrimage of the Firefighters in Jasna Gora.
The Orchestra was established in 1929. Since 1978, it has been incessantly managed by its present bandmaster, Stanisław Słowiński. At that year, it transformed to a youth wind orchestra. Following the Orchestra won a lot of important prices e.g. first price for a show parade in Saxony, Germany. The Ensemble played a lot of concerts e.g. in Moscow, Denmark, Czech Republic and the Netherlands. For the fourth time it could play in France. Furthermore the Orchestra gave concerts in Spain and played as the only Polish band in the bowl of Real Madrid in front of 80 000 people.More Articles ...
